With the continent being united, the darkness quickly lifted and gave way to hope. Civilization began to again spread and flourish. It was not long before old relics were found and an interest in history rediscovered.
Though the Divine powers granted by the True Gods never completely declined, the lack of hope and sense of guild had greatly reduced its potency. As people renewed their faith in the True Gods, so did others rediscover magic. Though happy to see its reemergence, the Empire quickly applied restrictions and guidelines to structure its use and spread. Formal schools were formed and selection processes for students established.
