The Descendants of Tarakona
The Walls of King’s Hope
The planners of King’s Hope took into account that the city would grow fast. Therefore, they chose to build the walls of the city far out, giving the city plenty of defended land to grow into. However, it was quickly realized that there were no threats. In fact, many began to believe that the new land was free of monsters. This soon led to a political move by many of the nobles to delay and slow down the construction of the walls. Some said they were unnecessary. Others just wanted to save money and effort they could better use elsewhere for their own profit. The result is that even after a year from founding, King’s Hope’s walls are only partially completed. In some places there is barely even a foundation put down.
